Dr. Reddy is an example of a successful yet humble practitioner. He has not allowed his success to make him malign the less privileged customers. Instead, Dr. Reddy has continually focused on rendering equal and fair service to clients of all calibers. In an interview, he stated that a client’s money or financial ability or lack of it does not determine the value of care he gives; he serves humanity equally. At the same time, Dr. Reddy attributes his success to the team of motivated people who work below him. He posited that a team that feels loved and respected by the seniors is willing to move boulders for the bosses. As a result, his team at MB2 Dental is highly productive and effective.
From quite an early age, Dr. Reddy knew that he wanted to pursue dentistry. However, the decision was initially clouded by a desire to pursue engineering, which was later overruled by the latter. Dr. Reddy joined the University of the Pacific and pursued Bachelor of Science in biology. Upon graduating, he quickly joined the doctorate class in dental surgery. He graduated with a doctorate in the field at the tender age of 23 years. For him, it was time to go back to Dallas and serve humanity. With optimism and enthusiasm, he launched a private practice which he bought, but he was forced to sell it at a loss. Despite that, he learned from his mistakes and decided to join hands with Dr. Chris, the founder of MB2 Dental. The above move would save him the hustles of being in private setting and still accord him the benefits associated with the corporate practice.
MB2 Dental was started by Dr. Chris, who had also faced the challenges of private practice and experienced the downside of corporate practice. Dr. Chris felt that dentists would draw higher benefits from the setting. Thus, he founded MB2 Dental. Dr. Reddy has reaped many benefits from MB2 Dental as he is mainly involved in dental practice and consultancy. Additionally, he believes that he must balance his private and work life for success. Consequently, Dr. Reddy works 8 hours every day on weekdays and half day on Saturdays. The rest of his time is spent with family and friends, specifically with his fiancé. Additionally, he also uses the time to play games and do other relaxing activities that keep him fit for his duty. Dr. Reddy also plays soccer, which he played from an early age.

Dr. Avi Weisfogel founded Dental Sleep Masters in order to bring the discipline of sleep dentistry to a wider audience. This was much more than just a commercial effort. It was undertaken because the proven results of the course material taught by Dental Sleep Masters are the best means by which the diagnosis of sleep apnea can be more accurately and more prevalently made.
A hidden killer
Dr. Weisfogel recognized that there is a widespread problem, both among medical professionals and the public, of perceiving sleep apnea to be just another malingerer’s excuse, like fibromyalgia or chronic fatigue syndrome. Nothing could be further from the truth.
Sleep apnea is strongly correlated with nearly every major cause of death in the United States. These include heart attack, stroke, diabetes and fatal on-site workplace accidents. That these stark realities about a disease that is often viewed as no worse than the common cold should continue to pervade the practice of medicine is a mistake that Dr. Weisfogel has endeavored to correct. Such lax attitudes towards this epidemic scourge have lead to diagnosis rates of less than 5% of those who suffer from the illness. What’s more, the disease is highly treatable but, when left unchecked, also highly lethal.
It was with this understanding that Dr. Weisfogel founded Dental Sleep Masters, a program which gave dentists the tools they need to form the vanguard of treatment for sleep apnea. Dentists are uniquely positioned to interact with patients who may have the signs, symptoms and risk factors of the disease in its earliest stages, when treatments are almost always 100% successful. The cost of delaying or foregoing treatment can be truly staggering. Most cases of sleep apnea will eventually prove fatal, according to Dr. Weisfogel.
Through its innovative use of training seminars and on-the-job consulting, Dental Sleep Masters has perfected a new paradigm of sleep apnea treatment. This new modality focuses heavily on oral appliances, which have been proven effective in many studies, especially for the mild, early forms of the disease. Through these efforts, Dr. Weisfogel has transformed the way both dentistry and sleep medicine are practiced in the United States.
Dr. Jennifer Walden is an American Board Certified Plastic Surgeon, author, lecturer and media commentator. She has practiced for nearly 20 years and is one of the best repair specialists in her field. Dr. Walden recently moved back to her hometown of Austin, Texas, after working in New York for several years. She recently opened the Walden Cosmetic Surgery Center in Austin.
After graduating from the University of Texas Medical Branch, she performed her externship at the world-renowned Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital in New York under the leadership of Dr. Sherill Aston. She then moved on to New York’s Upper East Side where she specialized in breast augmentation and implants.
Dr. Walden points out that her profession has very few women. In fact, only about 851 board certified plastic surgeons in the U.S. are women. She says there are a multitude of reasons why men outnumber women 10 to 1. First of all, some women don’t want to delay in having children. “The entire process — medical school and two additional years of fellowships and externships could add up to seven years,” says Dr. Walden. Like other professions, gender discrimination is also present within the field. Dr. Walden says she has to prove her worth every day.
One thing Dr. Walden has found out about her profession is that the market for plastic surgery in the South is just as desirable as any other part of the country. “I was a bit shocked. I figured I would have to wait a while after arriving in Dallas.” Dr. Walden says she had two breast augmentation appointments before her plane landed.
Dr. Jennifer Walden has appeared on a number of news shows including E, Good Morning America, Dateline NBC and other shows, to discuss plastic surgery. Dr. Walden points out that although plastic surgery isn’t for everyone, it does serve a good purpose. “It gives many people a great sense of self. A number of people feel a lot better about themselves after having a procedure.” Dr. Walden freely admits that she has had some botox and other procedures herself.
